Notre Dame Student Declan Sullivan Dies While Filming Football Practice

serSouth Bend, Indiana, Oct 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) University of Notre Dame student Declan Sullivan lost his life tragically on Wednesday after the tower from which he was shooting a football practice game tumbled over. The 20-year-old student who hails from Long Grove, in the state of Illinois was immediately rushed to a medical facility where he later succumbed to his injuries. The news of the unfortunate demise of the University of Notre Dame junior has sent shock waves across the campus.

Authorities of University of Notre Dame have divulged that a special mass would be held on Thursday in the memory of Declan Sullivan which is likely to be attended by all his friends in the university as well as his family members. While reacting to the unfortunate demise of the 20-year-old, college President John Jenkins later stated that words cannot convey the shock as well as grief that has engulfed the university campus over Declan Sullivan’s sudden death. At the same time, the college President also went on describe the 20-year-old as a ‘bright and enthusiastic film and marketing student’ who was one of the most valued members of the Notre Dame family.

Although the college authorities have pointed out that Declan Sullivan lost his life when the hydraulic lift that he was standing on to film the football practice game fell over, authorities have initiated a thorough probe to ascertain the cause of his death. Meanwhile, the athletic department of the University of Notre Dame has revealed that filming the football practice game of the college was part of Declan Sullivan’s responsibilities.
