Northland Registers Unexpected Victory Against Findlay Prep

prepOhio, Dec.18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a much anticipated showdown, the Findlay Prep basketball team clashed with the Northland team on Thursday but the No.1 Findlay Prep team failed to register its victory in the game. The match which was held at the Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio left all the fans of the leading team highly disappointed as their favorite team’s loss was something that the fans had not expected. The high expectations from Findlay Prep was more so because the team had emerged victorious in the past 45 matches which enabled it to became the top ranked team.

The No.7 ranked Northland team defeated their opponents by a score of 53-52 owing to the amazing performances displayed by some of its player. Especially Jared Sullinger, the promising Northland player gave a stunning performance as he delivered 32 points as well as in the final moments of the game managed two free throws, that ensured his team’s victory at the end. At halftime, the defending champions were left behind at 29-15 but somehow managed to come back into the game and soon took lead in the game. However, the lead was short lived as the Northland team again took control of the match with a 8-2 run. Moreover, in the final moments of the game Jared Sullinger was fouled by Findlay player Tristan Thompson which ultimately resulted in the winning shots for Northland.

Thursday’s unexpected defeat for the second loss for the Findlay Prep team since it was formed in the year 2006. However, the defeat was surely significant as it brought to an end, the team’s 45 games winning streak.
