No National Games in Goa in 2011: CM
July 28th, 2010 - 4:39 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Panaji, July 28 (IANS) The National Games will not be held in Goa in 2011 as scheduled as even the 2007 National Games are yet to be hosted by Jharkhand, Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat Wednesday told the legislative assembly Wednesday.
Besieged by criticism from the opposition about the lax preparations and lack of progress in creation of infrastructure for the 2011 games scheduled to be held in Goa, Kamat said that since the 2007 games are still to take place, Goa still had time at hand to build infrastructure.
“There is enough time at disposal to have the infrastructure in place. The National Games which were scheduled to be held in 2007 in Jharkhand are yet to be held. After that the games allotted to Kerala in 2009 will be held. Only after that Goa will host the games,” Kamat said.
