“No Disrespect For Ed Reed,” Hines Ward Says

Pittsburgh, Jan 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Hines Ward has held Ed Reed of Baltimore Ravens in high regard despite drawing a penalty for being rough to the latter during last night’s AFC divisional playoff game. It was evident from an interview that Hines Ward gave to the media last night after the game was over. The Steelers wide receiver said in the interview that he had indeed shown a certain kind of roughness towards Ed Reed during the game but reiterated that he holds no ill feelings towards the Ravens player. Hines Ward, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver tossed a few jabs at his team’s arch rival after his team won the last night’s match by 31-24 margin.
About the game, Hines Ward said that they stayed in the course which enabled them to find a way to win the match. The Steelers wide receiver said that the way the team played last night’s game, was a spectacle to not only the team members, but also to the viewers. The Baltimore Ravens were in no place to defend themselves and the Pittsburgh Steelers stole the show. He said that every time his team gets into the playoffs, the Baltimore Ravens give them a tough competition.
However, with the amazing game that the Pittsburgh Steelers played, it became obvious that, at the end of the day, the Baltimore Ravens have to worry about the loss at the AFC playoff. Hines Ward did not forget to congratulate the Ravens’ player for being a great opponent to play against. He went on to say that it is always all the more satisfactory to get through the AFC Championship.
