Houston, Sept 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Cardinals placed themselves in the best position regarding their season when they recovered from a disastrous start to beat the Astros 13-6. With just a game to the end of the campaign, the Cardinals have done themselves a huge favor with the win. The team will have the home advantage in the event of the need for a tiebreaker. When that happens, the game will be played on Thursday and it will be between them and Atlanta.

It was a vintage performance in the fourth quarter for the Cardinals who earlier found themselves struggling in the game. Before the Cardinals could warm themselves into the game, the Astros were 5-0 up. The team fought back and in the fourth quarter, they evened the scores out.

Atlanta will have to be looking over their shoulders now. The team was leading the Cardinals by 10-and-a-hald games but a string of sterling performance from the St. Louis team has helped them catch up. The team has a 15-5 record and that has helped them to tie with Atlanta at 89-72 each.

The final games will be played on Wednesday night and the regular season will be over for the teams.
