Jan 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The famous sports goods manufacturing company, Nike, that signed Tiger Woods to boost its products, has decided to launch its new clubs. As per the reports, the company has decided to introduce its new clubs, Victory Red STR8-FIT Tour fairway woods, in the absence of Tiger Woods. Reports stated that the new clubs will be available on sale from January 28, 2010.

Tiger Woods has taken indefinite break from golf, after the reports of his multiple affairs have surfaced on the internet and so Nike has to introduce its new clubs without him. Sources stated that this launch will not have any effect on the sponsorship contract with Nike. Though Tiger Woods is not present, it appears that the name of the new clubs, “Victory Red”, has some reflection of the golfer. Tiger Woods used to wear a red shirt on the final day of the tournament and the name might have been inspired by that.

In the absence of Tiger Woods, the new clubs of Nike were tested by golfer Lucas Glover, during the tournament play. Though he is not as famous as Tiger Woods, he is a successful golfer. He has become a popular name in this sport, after receiving his first major victory in the US Open Championship of last year. Nike has not only tested its new clubs by him but also declared that it has manufactured its new clubs by taking different suggestions from the thirteen golfers of the United States. The company indicated that it is hopeful about the sale of its new golf clubs and expect the golfers to appreciate it.
