Tiger Woods London, December 15 (ANI): Sponsor Nike that decided to stand by Tiger Woods amid revelation of his multiple affairs has called the ace golfer’s infidelities a “minor blip”.

Nike Inc Chairman and co-founder Phil Knight said the controversy surrounding Woods was “part of the game” in signing endorsement deals.

“Obviously, he was one we checked out and he came out clean, and I think he’s been really great,” the Telegraph quoted Knight as telling SportsBusiness Journal.

“When his career is over, you’ll look back on these indiscretions as a minor blip, but the media is making a big deal out of it right now,” Knight added.

Woods, 33, who is married to former Swedish model Elin Nordegren with whom he has two kids, confessed infidelity after he was reported of having romanced as many as 12 women.

The world no.1 revealed has taken an indefinite break from professional golf to mend his personal life. (ANI)
