Whistler, Feb 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Team USA won its first Four-Man Bobsled race after an empty handed session for62 years. Night Train Bobsled brings in gold for United States of America and nothing could beat that at this moment. Night Train Bobsled ranked in the very first place all through out the period. The entire team for Night Train Bobsled also performed the “Holkey Dance” after the medal ceremony. The Night train Bobsled Holkey dance is named after their pilot, Steve Holcomb.
The Night Train Bobsled team came out cheering out of their sled in great guns celebrating their victory. The team members had American flags all wrapped around them. It was quite evident that the celebration not only meant a victory stand for USA-1, but also for all bobsled teams. Recalling the last time Team USA had actually won a Gold medal was way back in 1948 Winter Olympics at ST.Moritz. U.S. coach Brian Shimer, was all in praises for his team and exclaimed that nothing can bring more joy to him than this. Brian Shimer even broke down to tears out of sheer excitement and happiness.
Steve Holcomb completed four runs in 3 minutes and 24.46 seconds. Steve Holcomb and his fellow sled mates took a stance crossing the finish line with their index finger up in the air. Then the Night Train Bobsled team members embraced each other wrapping them with American flags all in red, white and blue. Steve Holcomb held his helmet high and the whole Night Train Bobsled team posed for the photographers. United States 3 driver Mike Cohen claimed the winning moment to be “huge”.
