Nick Schuyler will appear on the Oprah Show on Thursday

Los Angeles, Mar 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nick Schuyler will make an appearance on the Oprah Show on Thursday. He is the sole surviving member of a boating accident, which killed all the other inmates of the boat. The fatalities included 2 NFL players, and a former college player as well.

On the Oprah Show, Nick will promote his book ‘Not Without Hope’, which recounts the February 2009 tragic boat accident. Nick had gone on a fishing trip with his friends - Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper, free-agent NFL defensive lineman Corey Smith and former University of South Florida player William Bleakley, on the Gulf of Mexico, about 75 miles off the coast of Clearwater.

During the tragic fishing trip, the boat flipped over, and all except for Nick, lost their lives. Nick survived by the skin of his teeth. He clung onto the flipped over boat for 43 hours, till he was rescued. His book – ‘Not Without Hope’ recounts the good and the tragic times of their fishing trip, and his struggle for survival. On Oprah’s show, Nick’s physician Mark Rumbak would also be interviewed, who had attended to Nick, after he was rescued.

The “Oprah Winfrey Show” will be telecast on WFLA, Channel 8 at 4 p.m.
