New York, Sept 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) NHL star Sidney Crosby does not have a timeline to return to the game although he has made it clear that he doesn’t intend to retire anytime soon. On Wednesday, Crosby spoke to pressmen about his future in the game. The press briefing was also attended by two of the doctors who are taking care of the player. Crosby suffered concussion about eight months ago.

He emphatically told the newsmen that, “Retirement no, I think I’ve always thought about the core of this injury and being smart about it because that’s the last thing I want, but at the end of the day, no, I didn’t give a lot of thought to it.”

When he was pushed on the possibility that he might never recover and get back to the game, Crosby brushed that aside and described it as only a “slim possibility.” The doctors say he is making significant improvement in his treatment. They assured that he might eventually return to the game but there is “no timeline” for that.

Back in January, Crosby suffered two hits to his head within a matter of a week. He has been out of the game ever since.
