NFL scores: Week 6 - Packers have a bad season
October 17th, 2011 - 7:36 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Oct 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Packers continued with their perfect record in the NFL current season when they beat the hapless Rams 24-3. The game was one sided in the first half but it turn to a boring encounter in the second half with no more points being collected at that stage.
The Packers has thus far won all their six games in the season. The Lions lost the opportunity to be the only other team with that feat when they were beaten 19-25 by another high-flying team of the season, the 49ers. In the first quarter, the Lions seemed to have taken control of the game when they raced to a 10-0 lead but they lost the momentum and eventually went down in the second quarter 0-12. They never recovered and slumbered to their first defeat of the season.
In the other games which were played over the weekend, the Giants won at home against the Bills 27-24. The Bengals were 27-17 winners against the Colts while the Steelers beat the Jaguars 17-13. The Eagles won away against the Redskins 20-13 with the Falcons beating the Panthers 31-17.
The Raiders took full advantage of their home turf to win 24-17 against the Browns. The Ravens were also 29-14 home winners against the Texans. The Buccaneers beat the Saints 26-20 while the Patriots won 20-16 at home against the Cowboys. The poor season of the Vikings continued when they lost 10-39 away from home against the Bears.
The game between the Dolphins and the Jets will be played on Monday night.
