Jan 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The NFL playoff scenario of this year is still considered to be little murky as the teams have not been able to keep up their consistency in games. Minnesota Vikings, which was assumed to be secured as the number two seed, lost games and now may have to move back in the table. Many teams had performed well in the preseason but had not been able to stand up to the expectations in the regular season and jeopardize their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. This is the Week 17 of NFL regular season schedule and teams will try their best to secure their spots for playoff.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Miami Dolphins will play against each other for reserving the wildcard position. Though it has been presumed that both the teams would give their best, they cannot be assured of qualifying for the wildcard. Their fates depend on the wins and losses of different teams like Denver, Houston, New York as well as Baltimore.

The New York Giants have highly disappointed football lovers in the regular season and now they do not have any hopes alive for reserving a berth in the playoffs. This week, they will play against the Minnesota Vikings and it is expected that the Vikings would make maximum effort to win. They are in a better position than the New York Giants and would try to dominate the Giants. More games are scheduled this week and teams would pose tough challenges against each other to restrict their opponents for appearing in the playoff games.
