New Zealand opt to bat against India

Ross Taylor Hyderabad, Nov 12 (IANS) New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori won the toss and opted to bat against India in the second cricket Test match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here Friday.

New Zealand made three changes in the side with Martin Guptill coming in place for Brian Watling, Bret Arnel for Hamish Bennett and Tim Southee for Jeetan Patel. India retained the same side that played in Ahmedabad.

New Zealand: Brendan McCullum, Tim McIntosh, Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor, Jesse Ryder, Kane Williamson, Daniel Vettori (captain), Gareth Hopkins (wicket keeper), Chris Martin, Tim Southee, and Brent Arnel.

India: Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, V.V.S. Laxman, Suresh Raina, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain/wicket keeper), Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Sreesanth, and Pragyan Ojha.
