New York Yankees Supporter Freddy “Sez” Schuman Passes Away At 85

Oct 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Freddy “Sez” Schuman who gained wide fame for his ardent love and support for the New York Yankees, passed away on Sunday. The news of the unfortunate demise of the New York Yankees loyalist has come as a rude shock to the members as well as fans of the team who are still trying to come to terms with the fact that the veteran supporter would no longer be seen in the stadium cheering for his favorite team. Freddy “Sez” Schuman was 85 years of age at the time of his death.
The news of the demise of the ardent New York Yankees supporter has been confirmed by one of his close friend Chuck Frantz who has revealed that Freddy “Sez” Schuman breathed his last on Sunday afternoon at the Lenox Hill Hospital. The 85-year-old New Yorker was immediately admitted to the medical facility on Friday after he suffered from a cardiac arrest and after fighting for his life for two days, Freddy “Sez” Schuman died on Sunday. While reacting to the death of his longtime friend, Chuck Frantz noted that it was indeed a very sad for the New York Yankees fans as well as everyone else who had the opportunity to know him.
Freddy “Sez” Schuman was best known for his trademark style of banging a frying pan with a spoon during the games of New York Yankees to showcase his support for his favorite team and encourage other fans to participate in the game. The frying pan and spoon that was used by Yankees follower was donated to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Yogi Berra museum in the year 2004.
