New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner hospitalized after suffering major heart attack

George Steinbrenner Tampa, July 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner has been hospitalized after he suffered a major heart attack. According to BNO News, he is said to be in a critical condition.

Apparently George suffered the heart attack at his abode and then the emergency services were summoned to his house. Witnesses say that the Tampa Fire Rescue came and transferred the New York Yankees owner to the St. Joseph’s Hospital.

It may be recalled that the 80 year old George Steinbrenner has owned the New York Yankees for more than three decades. And under his able ownership the New York Yankees have been instrumental in winning 11 pennants and even seven World Series titles.

He is married to Elizabeth Joan Zieg. He has four children – Hank Steinbrenner, Hal Steinbrenner, Jessica Steinbrenner and Jennifer Steinbrenner-Swindal.
