New Orleans Saints win their first Super Bowl in their first appearance
February 8th, 2010 - 1:44 pm ICT by BNO NewsMIAMI (BNO NEWS) — The New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31 to 17 on Sunday to win the first Super Bowl in their franchise history.
The Saints overcome a first half lead by the Colts after scoring only six points and were down but not out after the third quarter.
They were losing 17-16, but the Saints rallied and came back in the fourth quarter as Tracy Porter intercepted a pass from Peyton Manning and sprinted 74 yards for a touchdown and a 31-17 lead with 3:12 left.
