New Orleans Saints Clinches Super Bowl XLIV Title

Miami Garden, Feb 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Super Bowl XLIV, which was scheduled on February 7, is over and thousands of football lovers had witnessed an exceptional performance from the New Orleans Saints. This year, many people predicted that Super Bowl would be a high scoring game as both the teams consisted some exceptionally talented offense players. However, the game was quite different from what was expected as New Orleans Saints restricted Indianapolis Colts at a score of 17 and won.
The final score of Super Bowl XLIV, 31-17 in favor of Saints, showed that the team had completely rediscovered themselves. New Orleans Saints, which is known for their aggressive performance also displayed some outstanding offense skills. It appeared that they had worked out on strengthening their defense so that they can restrict the Colts from scoring.
Many football fans considered New Orleans Saints as an underdog against the talented Indianapolis Colts but the Saints’ skills in the game proved all anticipations wrong. Though Saints had disappointed their fans in some matches of the regular season, they proved their worth in the final and clinched the title.
As per the reports, Saints quarterback Drew Brees had significant contribution in the Super Bowl and helped his team win the match. It has been reported that Drew Brees’ touchdown passes to the tight-end Jeremy Shockey and running back Pierre Thomas raised them to a secured position against the Indianapolis Colts. While Saints exhibited significant positive changes in their performance, the Indianapolis Colts disappointed their fans with a low score of 17 points and failed to claim the championship title.
