Miami, Feb 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Anticipation is running high as Super Bowl XLIV is all set to take place in Miami this Sunday. The New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts are gearing up for the much anticipated showdown which is scheduled to take place at the Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens in Florida.

All the fans are eagerly waiting to witness the much anticipated clash between the two teams. Moreover, expectations are sky-rocketing from the championship game this time around as the two top seeded teams from each conference would be playing against each other to win the National Football League’s ultimate prize. The last time when the League’s top seed teams competed against each other in the finale was way back in 1993 when AFC’s Buffalo Bills suffered defeat in the hands of NFC’s Dallas Cowboys.

At the same time, the eagerly awaited game is also expected to garner much attention as it would feature two of the league’s top quarterbacks, Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts and Drew Brees of New Orleans Saints competing against each other to win the much coveted title. Moreover, the finale is all the more special for the Saints as this would mark their first appearance in the Super Bowl, while it is the fourth time that the Colts team would be making a Super Bowl appearance since its formation as Baltimore Colts in the year 1953.

Meanwhile, predictions are already underway as to which team would be emerging as the League’s champion for the 2009 season. The game is expected to gather a massive audience owing to the action and excitement that it promises.
