NBA fines JR Smith for posting Tahiry Jose’s semi nude photo on Twitter
March 12th, 2012 - 10:34 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Mar 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Knicks star J R Smith is in hot waters for posting a semi nude photograph of Men’s magazine model Tahiry Jose on to his Twitter account. The NBA has already taken offence to this action and they have placed a hefty fine of $25,000 on Smith.
Post the fine, Smith has candidly confessed that he regrets his action and he said that, “I didn’t know it was going to be as big deal as it is now. I definitely regret it. It takes away from our team. Anytime I do anything that takes away from our team, I’m definitely going to regret it.”
Even though JR Smith finally deleted the offending tweet, but he was late in doing so, as it was already noted by the NBA officials and they weren’t too happy about it. The woman in question is none other than model Tahiry Jose, who has in the past dated rapper Joe Budden for a long time. apparently Smith and Jose were spending time together on Thursday when Smith tweeted the photo. The offending picture was seen by rapper Joe Budden and needless to say that he was not too pleased about it.
