June 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The stalwart basketball player Michael Jordan is hogging the limelight once again and this is not for any comeback related issues as such.
As per the latest news, he will be the cover boy of an upcoming basketball game named NBA 2K11, which is being made by a company named 2k sports.
The company sources have said that the game will come out by October 5th. It was being rumored earlier that the ace player may be roped in as the cover boy and it turned out to be true.
Jason Argent, who is the VP of marketing of the company, is upbeat that selecting Michael Jordan will be good for the game. The player who has retired from the sport has managed to stay in the headlines for various reasons. He is happy about the development and said in a recent interview that selection is actually an honor for him and he is delighted.
Michael Jordan also expressed his hope that the game NBA 2K11 will be a major hit with the players. He thinks it will go down well with both the fans of the sport and the gamers.
The virtual persona of the player is yet to be created and the company has said it will ensure that the virtual character remains an integral section of the game.
It is not known what will be the cost of the game.
As a matter of fact, 2k sport thought of roping in other basketball players too but later zeroed in on Michael Jordan. They decided using the best basketball player would be appropriate.
