Nazir Khan nets winner for Das FA
August 9th, 2012 - 9:07 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 9 (IANS) Nazir Khan’s lone strike enabled Das Football Academy snatch a 1-0 win against Mukhund FC in a Third Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association League played at the St Xavier’s ground at Parel Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Maharashtra Mitra Mandal tamed Kalpataru SC 3-1. Vaibhav Pandrekar, Gipesh Bhalerao and Aniket Pillay netted a goal each for the winners, while Rohit Shetty pulled one back for the losers.
In other action, South Mumbai United got the better of Vijayalaxmi by a narrow 2-1 margin. For South Mumbai the goal scorers were Dhruv Chappekar and Ali Asgar, while Vijayalaxmi managed to reduce the defict through the efforts of Vijay Poojari.
