National Games: Manipur top medal tally with ten wushu gold
February 15th, 2011 - 6:22 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Feb 15 (IANS) Manipur Tuesday topped in medal tally by winning ten of 18 gold medals on offer in wushu, a form of martial arts, in the National Games. Overall Manipur won total 13 gold medals and three came from Roshan Singh of Manipur won three medals. Roshan won the medals in chang quan, jian shu and qiang shu.
Madhya Pradesh also won four wushu gold medals. Delhi and Haryana also won two each.
Madhya Pradesh is second in medal’s tally by winning 11 gold medals, nine silver and 16 bronze. Host Jharkhand is sixth with five gold medals.
