National Games: Gurumit Singh of Jharkhand wins gold in 20 km walk
February 17th, 2011 - 8:31 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Feb 17 (IANS) Gurumit Singh of Jharkhand won the gold in the 20 km walk event at the 34th National Games here Thursday.Mani Ram Patel of Madhya Pradesh won the silver while Somendro Singh of Services got the bronze.
Hosts Jharkhand stand at the eighth position in the overall medals tally with eight gold medals. Maharashtra is at the top with 20 gold, 22 silver and as many bronze medals.
