Aug 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nate Diaz and Marcus Davis fought a bloody battle in the UFC 118 bout yesterday. In the end it was Nate Diaz who emerged as the winner with a guillotine choke that saw Marcus Davis bow out in the 3rd round. The two southpaws are known for their technique for fighting on their feet and both ensured that the game was a treat for the audience.

In the first round Nate Diaz taunted Marcus Davis only to get a hard left from him. The rest of the first round, however, belonged to Nate Diaz as he bloodied Marcus Davis with his hard and frequent punches. As his momentum increased Marcus Davis was seen bleeding profusely from a wound over his right eye. At the end of the round, the ring side doctor did a thorough check on Marcus Davis and finally decided that the match can continue.

In the second round, Nate Diaz continued the assault and forced the fight into the cage. In while both the players started to bleed badly as they exchanged punches at the center of the ring. Nate Diaz, however, had an upper hand in the fight due to his speed. Landing quick and hard punches he took Marcus Davis to the ground once at the end of the round. Nate Diaz targeted the already bloodied face of his opponent in this round and in the end, Marcus Davis looked even more brutally beaten up with a large swelling over his eyes and a blood bathed face. It was just a matter of time, in the final round that Nate Diaz finished him off and finally he choked out the wobbling Marcus Davis with a front guillotine.
