Novak Djokovic London, Apr 7(ANI): British tennis ace Andy Murray hopes to bounce back off the ropes following a brief chat with WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye in Miami.

Murray met Haye in Miami’s famous 5th Street Gym.

“I spent a bit of time with David Haye in Miami. I was talking to him about individual sports and the people that you work with. I do joke around a lot with the guys I work with and it’s exactly the same with him,” the Sun quoted Murray, as saying.

“He works with Adam Booth and he’d never coached anyone before, but he works perfectly with David. He understands David. So, it’s not always about having that high-profile guy.”

“Once you are on the court or in the ring that’s the time to work and be serious. The relationship is important, on and off the court. I’m not saying they need to be comedians, you just need to get on well,” he added.

Murray has suffered a worrying form slump since losing in the final of the Australian Open in January.

He made shock early exits in his three tournaments following that Melbourne disappointment against Novak Djokovic, leading him to part with coach Alex Corretja.

His most recent defeat was against 118th-ranked American Alex Bogomolov Junior in the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami. (ANI)
