Jaipur, Apr 29 (ANI): Mumbai Indians bowler Harbhajan Singh has said that the members of the team are happy with their performance so far in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) matches.
Mumbai Indians have won five matches out of six and are at the top of the points table.
The team was seen practicing strenuously in the nets and on field for the next match against Rajasthan Royals on Friday (April 29).
Singh said there is no pressure on any bowler and everyone is contributing for the team’s victory.
“Well I’m quite happy the way things are going for Mumbai Indians and we are not worried about whether our fast bowler picking the wickets or whether our spinners are picking up wickets. But, I think as a bowling unit, everyone is performing really well and everyone has been putting their best effort for the team,” said Harbhajan.
Singh lauded the performance of teammate Ambati Rayudu and said he could be the next big thing if he is selected for the Indian cricket team.
“Lately, he’s (Ambati Rayudu) been performing really well for Mumbai Indians, last season he was our main guy to get us into the final and he’s one of that young talent. You can see him playing long for India and this is what I feel, he has got a bright future ahead of him.
“He is definitely one of those guys who can fulfill the shoe of Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman. This might be a slightly, I mean people must be thinking that what Bhajji is saying today but this is what I feel that he has got the capability to fulfill those big shoes,” he said.
Rayudu has impressed many with his innings against Pune Warriors and Bangalore Royal Challengers in previous games.
Singh also praised Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne for his overall cricket career, saying he is a role model for many.
Mumbai Indians would face Rajasthan Royals on Friday in Jaipur.
