Mukesh, Vijay, Harendra in Indian Oil Masters golf
October 15th, 2009 - 7:09 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Kolkata, Oct 15 (IANS) Top Indian professional golfers, including Mukesh Kumar, Shamim Khan, Rahul Ganapathy and Harendra Gupta, will take part in the Rs.2 million prize money Indian Oil XtraPremium Masters Golf scheduled to be held in Digboi, Assam, from Oct 22.
The four-day tournament, a part of the Aircel Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI, would be staged on the 72-par Digboi Golf Links Course, the organisers said at a media meet here Thursday. The event concludes Oct 25.
Vijay Kumar and Firoz Ali Mollah are among the other star participants at the meet, which will also include a pro-am Oct 21.
Mukesh has a terrific record in the tournament, having won the title four times in 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2007. Harendra claimed top honours in 2004.
Professional Golf Tour of India director Padamjit Sandhu said the tourney returns to the Aircel-PGTI schedule after two years.
