‘Move to Red Bull’ speculation doesn’t distract us, says Hamilton

Kuala Lumpur, Apr 8(ANI): McLaren-Mercedes Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton has said that it is not frustrating to be asked constantly if he would like to move to Red Bull.

“The positive thing is you are talking about me, and that is a great thing. The positive is that potentially other teams are interested in me as well as my own team, so that hopefully makes my team even more hungry,” the Daily Express quoted Hamilton, as saying.

“I just try and turn it all into positives. It doesn’t distract us. I have told the team that I want to win more championships with them. So, they know my position,” he added.

Hamilton had scored his first title success three seasons ago having almost become world champion in his rookie year of 2007. Since then, the 26-year-old has found the going rather tougher.

He finished fifth in the 2009 drivers’ championship after McLaren overcame a difficult start to the season and was fourth in the standings last year, despite remaining a title challenger until the final race.

There are rumours that he could move on if he does not regain his crown this year. (ANI)
