Mourinho confident of dimming Barcelona’s Champions League hopes
April 27th, 2011 - 6:37 pm ICT by ANILondon, Apr 27 (ANI): Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is confident of beating Barcelona in their Champions League semi-final first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu tonight.
Mourinho was humiliated 5-0 by Barcelona in the league in November, but Madrid are now on the ascendancy with a 1-1 league home draw against Barcelona followed by the Copa del Rey final win on April 20.
“We can take them on over two games; we have just done that,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Mourinho, as saying.
“There is no reason we can’t beat them in the Champions League because we have just drawn once against them and then beaten them,” he added. (ANI)
