Jan 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Canadian golfer Mike Weir has expressed that he expects Tiger Woods would end his indefinite break from the golfing stand and would be back in the PGA Tour. The much acclaimed golfer has revealed recently that he hopes to see the World No. 1 golfer back in action “sooner than later”.
The 39 year old Canadian sportsperson revealed his thoughts about Tiger Woods on Friday when he expressed his hopes about the champion golfer’s return to the majors, which are going to be held later this year. Moreover, the renowned golfer also went on to say that he really wants Tiger Woods to play in the majors, as he expects to compete against the best in the game. At the same time, Mike Weir also emphasized that competing against the World No. 1 golfer surely brings out the best among all his competitors.
The Canadian sportsperson, while talking during a conference call, about his 2007 Presidents Cup win against Tiger Woods added that the champion golfer managed to bring out the best in him during their clash in Montreal. At the same time, Mike Weir also implied that he has not been able to communicate with Tiger Woods although he attempted to ‘reach out to him’ after the scandals involving the American golfer came to light.
Tiger Woods has not been seen in public since his car crashed outside his Florida home back in November, which later resulted in a series of allegations of his multiple extramarital affairs. Since then, the personal life of the American golfer has been completely ripped apart by media which ultimately resulted in Tiger Woods announcing his indefinite break from the golf scenario.
