tyson1New York, Mar 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Take On Tyson,” the reality TV show that features legendary boxer Mike Tyson has always been into the muddy waters of controversy since its times of inception. This time, the reality pigeon racing show is facing charges of illegal gambling.

Mike Tyson, who happens to be a pigeon lover since his childhood days, was the very first choice for the makers of the show who came up with the idea of Mike Tyson’s birds racing with the very best racer pigeons in the city of New York. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) happens to a critic of the Mike Tyson reality show. Since its origin, PETA has put up charges against the show claiming that it has overstepped the laws of gambling in New York, owing to the fact that the show is making their money from animal racing. However, Animal Planet has snubbed any such claims and they have declared that they are not making money out of pigeon racing and thus all such allegations brought against them are pointless.

PETA has always been up and active protecting animals. They were the very first to carry out an undercover investigation in bringing out the truth behind the Silver Spring monkey case. Time and again, many a celebrities have supported the noble ideals of PETA. The list includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Paul McCartney and Pamela Anderson. World famous campaign models like Eva Mendes, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington has shed off clothes on PETA billboards and posters, thus supporting PETA’s go against wearing animal fur campaigns.
