In one of the most shocking and heart wrenching developments, Mike Tyson’s daughter, Exodus Tyson succumbed to a fatal accident at 11:45 a.m. (MST) on the 26th of May. The Tyson family has released a statement saying, “There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.”
A representative of the Phoenix Police Department has also released a statement where they declared “I was just advised by investigators that Exodus Tyson was pronounced deceased at 11:45 AM today at the hospital. Our sympathies go out to the family.” The accident had occurred at 10:30 in the morning on Monday. She was soon rushed to the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix where she was put on a life support system.
According to reports the accident occurred when young Exodus was playing near some gym equipments but got herself entangled with the treadmill cord. When she could not be spotted, her mother, 34-year-old Sol Xochitl sent Exodus’s 7 year old brother to look for her. Her brother discovered her with her neck entangled with the treadmill cord that hung from the machine’s console. Her mother tried to revive her but to no avail. She was soon rushed to the hospital. At the time of the accident Mike Tyson was away from home in Las Vegas, shooting for a documentary, but he returned as soon as he heard about the incident. It is a difficult hour for the Tyson family, a tragedy beyond verbal expression or solace.
