Nov 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Some celebrities and sportsperson have a tendency of getting into the wrong side of law over and again. It seems to be the case with controversy’s favorite child, Mike Tyson. The former boxing champion got into a brawl with a paparazzi at the Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday. In the end both of them were taken into police custody. The incident took place at around 4.30 p.m near Terminal 7.

However, Tyson said to Police that the photographer hit him purposely in order to provoke some kind of reaction from him. He retaliated by snatching his camera and landing him a hard punch. The police confirmed this bit of information to quite a few sources. However, the Police refused to divulge the name of the photographer who has been arrested post the brawl. The photographer tried to defend himself and said that the boxer, known for his aggressive nature and foul temperament hit him first.

Sergeant Jim Holcomb working at Los Angeles Airport police said that the photographer had a minor wound in his head. A spokesperson of Tyson said that the boxer was with his daughter and spouse and he merely tried to defend himself when the photographer attacked him. Both Tyson and the photographer want to file misdemeanor battery accusations.

Tyson had his share of brushes with law and earlier in his life he was accused of serious offenses including rape. He became notorious for biting an opponent’s ear off during a match. Later in 2006, he was arrested for driving in an inebriated state in Arizona.
