Police confirmed that Tyson has been held on suspicion of battery following a scuffle with a snapper.
The victim says he was hit once and was treated afterwards in hospital for a cut to his forehead.
Earlier, Tyson’s spokeswoman Tammy Brook had said the boxer was travelling with his wife and 10-month-old child on November 11 when he was attacked by overly aggressive paparazzi following which the 43-year-old acted in self-defence to protect his child.
An airport police spokesman had said the incident happened at a United Airlines ticket counter and that the photographer accused Tyson of hitting him.
He had added that both Tyson and the photographer wanted to press charges for misdemeanour battery. (ANI)
