tom1Jan 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) With the Pittsburgh Steelers’ victory on Sunday over the New York Jets, Mike Tomlin proved his potential as one of the best coaches of the Super Bowl games. However, just his ability as the best coach does not bring an end to his credit. What makes him all more revered, is his young age. Not even 40, Mike Tomlin has become the youngest coach to lead his team to the Super Bowl Championship.

He has become the first coach below the age of 40, to reach the Super Bowl. With this victory, he has also joined the league of those head coaches, who made it to two Super Bowls in their first four seasons. The other coach, who preceded Mike Tomlin with this achievement was Joe Gibbs, the head coach of Washington Redskins. If the Steelers win the Super Bowl on February 6, then Mike Tomlin would also be one of those rare 13 coaches to win multiple Super Bowls. Mike Tomlin seems extremely confident about the victory of the Steelers in the Super Bowl, as he said that his team maintains only one standard, and that standard in winning. He also feels proud to state that the championship started with 32 teams and now, there are only two left. He added that he feels extremely proud to be the coach of one of those two teams.

The Steelers Vs Jets match was one of a kind, as in the first half the Steelers led the Packers with a score of 24-0. However, the Packers pulled up their socks in the second half, to take the score to 24-19. Jets’ Coach Rex Ryan said that although they played well in the second half, their overall performance in all the four quarters was not good enough. Mike Tomlin, on the other hand, is all set to face the packers.
