Mike Patterson hospitalized after collapsing during training

Bethlehem, Pa., Aug 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mike Patterson was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday morning when he collapsed during training at Lehigh University. Patterson’s teammates and coaches rushed to his aid when they found that he had dropped and was shaking violently.

The teammates held their hands and prayed for Patterson as Coach Rick Burkholder and some of his staff members knelt and tried to revive him. The ambulance was called in and it rushed Patterson to the hospital. The team got back to their training session 15 minutes after Patterson was taken to the hospital.

The Associated Press reported that Patterson collapsed during training regimes on Wednesday. When it became apparent that something serious was wrong with him, the emergency service was called in to take control.

The 28-year-old has played in 95 games starting in 84 of those games. He is the most capped of all his teammates. He currently plays for the Eagles and he has been with the team since 2005.

There have been no details on the condition of Patterson. The report which was carried by the Associated Press also failed to name the hospital where Patterson was taken to.
