Dec.31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Texas Tech coach Mike Leach had to pay for his whimsical act and he has been suspended. It has been alleged that he maltreated the player Adam James, a receiver and who happens to be the son the ESPN broadcaster Craig James. Mike Leach punished the concussed player by making him sit alone in an equipment room for quite a long span of time. The treatment meted out to Adam James was not accepted graciously and Mike Leach had to step down from the reigning position of the Texas coach. The fans are visibly very upset as they thought the issue will be solved soon and the matter will not be blown out of proportion.
Mike Leach, who has been instrumental enough for the success of the team, hired an attorney, Ted Liggett to defend his case. The letter of suspension was handed over to Mike Leach’s attorney. The most successful coach is all set to reverse the decision and don the hat of the coach again for an important upcoming game. The attorney of Mike Leach claims that the allegations are not true and hopes that the honorable coach will be back in his prestigious position soon.
The family of Adam James have accused Mike Leach of subjecting their son to a kind of a torture and humiliating him. In the next game on January 2, Mike Leach will be replaced by an interim coach. This incident of firing Mike Leach goes a long way to show that high-handedness can also make an influential person land in deep trouble.
