Miguel Tejada Hired By San Francisco Giants For A $6.5 Million Deal

Dec 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Hours after Los Angeles Dodgers announced of their three year contract with former San Francisco Giants player Juan Uribe over an estimated payment of $21 million, San Francisco Giants came up with the decision to sign free agent Miguel Tejada for a one year contract for a deal of worth $6.5 million. This is the latest buzz doing the rounds in the baseball camps. A reliable source told the media that Miguel Tejada can go on to earn as much as $500,000 in the form of incentives.
According to sources, Miguel Tejada is believed to be very pleased with this new contract of his and has told to the media that he is extremely happy to be with San Francisco Giants, and is hoping for a good stay in the camp, being able to deliver his best performance. Though the news has spread like fire and is being genuinely hailed as a true one, the San Francisco Giants are yet to make an official announcement of the one year contract. Insiders claim that the team authorities are eagerly awaiting for the arrival of the player in the city. No sooner does he arrives, hey will finalize the bond on legal documentations. The San Francisco Giants are expected to make the official announcement some day towards the end of this week
It is heard that Miguel Tejada agreed for the San Francisco Giants, the World Series champions after the San Diego Padres declined for his salary arbitration last week. The World Series champs are looking forward to a good start with the latest addition, who is considered as a replacement for Juan Uribe.
