Some roads were partially closed when the runners started the marathon run. However, being the weekend, people lined on the side of the road to cheer the runners.
Michael Wardian seemed all set to win the marathon on Saturday. The runner seemed to be controlled and maintained a steady pace from the beginning. Michael Wardian tried to maintain a steady pace from the beginning so that he could finish it on a time that would make him qualify for the Olympic games trial.

Patrick Moulton on his part, suffered from a stomach pain during the run which slowed down his pace. He however, finished the run second in two hours twenty-six minutes and three seconds.
