Michael Vick Confronted by Dog Owner in Dallas Ceremony

Feb 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A strange ceremony was held last week in Dallas, Texas in which NFL star and convicted dog fighter Michael Vick was given the key to the city by the Mayor Pro Tem, Dwaine Caraway, despite the fact that the actual Mayor of Dallas, Tom Leppert disapproved. During that ceremony Richard Hunter, radio and media personality, confronted Vick about one of the dogs, which Richard himself had adopted. Vick refused to answer.

Perhaps even more strange than the ceremony which gave a “fake” key to the city to a felon who spent time in prison for torturing animals, is the video of the confrontation which was shot by Richard Hunter. Hunter tried unsuccessfully to speak with Vick about the dog which he had adopted from Vick’s “pitbull house of horrors” and was quickly shut down. As you can see in the video embedded below, Hunter was cursed at, detained, and given the “evil eye” for his troubles, but no answers were given by the NFL star.

Of Vick receiving the “key to the city”, Mayor of Dallas, Leppert stated “The action taken was not sanctioned by my office and was not an official ceremonial honor on behalf of the City of Dallas. Official Keys to the City are presented by the Mayor, or an elected official designated by the Mayor, and reserved, on a limited basis, for an elected official of international status. Clearly, this was not the case in this situation and done without my knowledge or approval.”
