Michael Oher’s Life Portrayed In “The Blind Side”

best55Nov. 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The movie, ‘The Blind side’, has been released on Friday, Nov. 20, depicting the life of the footballer Michael Oher. The movie is expected to do quite well, as Oher is quite the footballer and a fan-favorite.

The plot revolves around the real life of the legend, who was homeless at the age of 18 and was adopted by a very well to do family- The Tuohys. His parents were Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, who took him in and gave him a normal-loving life. He was put into the Briarcrest Christian School, where he started playing football, and getting good grades. Maintaining his law education he worked hard and also went on to become the offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens. His education and the new life gave him the opportunity to discover himself and his capabilities, which led him to be a successful and a popular persona.

New York times Magazine, also published a part of his book and titled it “The Ballad of Big Mike”. His actual book is called The Blind Side: Evolution Of a Game which was released in 2006, and had people rushing to the book-stands.

The movie, directed and written by John Lee Hancock stars Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw. Sandra had said, that this movie proved challenging for her and was a hard role to play. The NCAA coaches like Lou Holtz, Nick Saban, Ed Orgeron and others all have special appearances in the movie. The lead actor, Quinton Aaron, is said to have played the role exceptionally well.
