ohOwings Mills, Oct 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The American football offensive tackle of Baltimore Ravens, Micheal Oher and football safety of the same team, Tom Zbikowski have been fined $5,000 by National Football League on Friday. The players were fined by NFL last Friday owing to their violent actions on the field. However, Michael Oher said that he was defending his teammate while playing against Cleveland Browns last Sunday.

It was a tight situation for both Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns in the last match. However, suddenly the audience watched Michael Oher punching Cleveland Browns’ defensive end player Robaire Smith. This violent behavior of the player created a lot of hue and cry among Cleveland Browns’ players and fans as they wanted a justification for such an attitude. However, Michael Oher said that he would not appeal the court for the fine. Michael Oher, who was drafted by NFL in 2009 punched Robaire Smith after the latter pushed Todd Hepp, the Baltimore Ravens’ tight end roughly after the play had been whistled as a false start. The offensive tackle of Baltimore Ravens said that his whole action is justified because he had to get his teammate back.

On the other hand, Tom Zbikowski was fined because he tackled Cleveland Browns’ running back player Peyton Hills on the ground, though the latter was already out of bounds. NFL officials said that the football safety of the Baltimore Ravens was fined for his unnecessary behavior. The team management did not comment anything about the on-field behavior of their footballers. Tom Zbikowski was also unavailable for any comments. He was drafted by NFL in the year 2008.
