micv New York, Feb 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Michael Jordan is determined to have a majority stake in the Charlotte Bobcats. As present he is the managing partner of the team. He recently confided to coach Larry Brown, that he is trying his level best to own the majority stake in the team from Bob Johnson. “I’m trying my hardest to get this thing done,” Larry Brown quoted Michael Jordan as telling him last Tuesday, when Jordan had watched a home game against the Washington Wizards.

“I’m hopeful that at the end of the day (after a sale) Michael will be running the Bobcats. Anytime I read a possibility Michael isn’t going to be involved, it impacts my family and me. I came here because of him - no other reason,” Brown said. “After I got here, I realized there are a lot of real pluses to being here. But I wouldn’t have thought about” coaching the Bobcats had Jordan not asked.

Stern wasn’t too happy with the prospect of Michael Jordan being the owner of the team. He reluctantly said that it would be a good thing. However Jordan might have competition, as other legends have also expressed an interest in owning the team. Another probable owner might be the former Houston Rockets executive George Postolos. And if George Postolos gets hold of the team, then obviously Michael Jordan might be out of the team for good.
