Islamabad, June 22(ANI): Former Pakistan coach Javed Miandad has said that former captain Younis Khan and fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar should have been included in the Test team for the tour of England.
Miandad said that he fails to understand the logic of selectors to drop the two experienced players.
“Its not fair to expect youngsters to perform in difficult playing conditions in England where Younis and Akhtar could have made the difference with their experience,” The Dawn quoted Miandad, as saying.
Pakistan is scheduled to play two tests against Australia next month as part of its ‘home’ series due to security concerns.
The series will be followed with four tests against England. (ANI)
