Miami face-eating cannibal Rudy Eugene said “I’m going to kill you” to the heavyweight boxer Melton Bowen
June 4th, 2012 - 8:31 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattMiami, June 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former heavyweight boxer Melton Bowen met the ‘Miami Cannibal’ Rudy Eugene in 2007. After receiving death threats from Rudy Eugene, Bowen knocked him down with one single punch. Last week, Eugene was gunned down by police after eating the face off a homeless man called Ronald Poppo.
Eugene had been a former colleague of Bowen. They first met at a North Miami flea market. After a trivial argument over who knew more about music when they were working together, Eugene took his shirt off and told the boxer that he was going to kill him.
Eugene recently attacked 65-year-old homeless man called Ronald Poppo. A number of people, including a bus driver, witnessed the fight between Eugene and Poppo, which took place on a busy Miami highway in broad daylight last Saturday. The attack was recorded on CCTV.
The surveillance video shows Eugene attacking Poppo. Eugene was later being shot dead by a police officer during the attack. Gloria Alfred, a high-profile attorney, has been hired by Eugene’s girlfriend.
