Pat WhiteSep 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pat White, the former Miami Dolphins quarter has officially made the big switch from football to baseball as the reports confirm that the Kansas City Royals have signed the former quarterback. The news comes as a pleasant surprise to many sports fans as Pat White was seen struggling in the 2009 rookie season and it was time that he was let go from the Miami Dolphins. The Kansas City Royals on the other hand, have shown great excitement at the prospect of a football player joining the side. Reports suggest that the deal Pat White signed with baseball side is flexible enough to let him go back to football in case he case he gets a call from the NFL, UFL, CFL or AFL.

Lonnie Goldberg of the Kansas City Royals said that his team was exited at the idea of signing Pat White and added that it is always an advantage to add am ‘athletic-type’ player into the side. Pat White was a second round pick by the Dolphins last year and he was released from the side last week. His performance failed to impress the fans and his team. It is unlikely that he will be picked in the NFL as he was active for 13 games in the last season. Pat White, has, however, maintained that he is still interested in playing football and is also committed to playing other sport.

This is not the first time that Pat White has been associated with baseball. He was drafted during his college and one draft most recently for the player was by the New York Yankees in 2009.
