New York, Oct 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets will re-ignite their age-long rivalry when they meet on Monday night. The two teams are not having the best of seasons and both teams know a slip will do their season more damage than good.

A loss for the Dolphins will almost-certainly mean the end of the season as far as the Super Bowl is concerned. Statistically, the odds are very much against any team that has gone five games without a win. Though the Dolphins have the worst record compared to the Jets, underrating them especially in this rivalry match will be dangerous.

The Dolphins have won three of the last five games between the two franchises. The most remarkable game between the two sides was in 2008 when a win over the Jets sent the Dolphins to the playoffs and ended the season of the Jets.

The Jets’ season seems much better though a loss might also mean the end of their aspiration of catching up with the Packers considering the way that they are playing currently. They have won 2 matches and lost three of the season.

In the last game between the two sides, the Dolphins were 10-6 winners away at New York.
