lionel-messiNo wonder why Maradona chose him as his would be son-in-law. Lionel Messi, the star of Barca once again proved that why he is regarded as one of the finest and deadliest player of the game as he scored twice in FC Barcelona’s 4-0 victory over the Seattle Founders FC on Wednesday night in its latest stop of the clubs pre-season tour of U.S.

The match witnessed the sheer dominance of Messi over his opponents as the player beat Seattle keeper Kasey Keller in the 21st minute of the game with a left footed punch right outside the penalty box. Keller tried blatantly to save the ball from intruding into its destination, but the goal keeper just managed to get a finger tip over it. Soon after scoring the first goal, the Messi fever struck again as he scored another perfectly judged goal. It seems that the foot ball maestro is picking up right from the point where he had let off a year ago, scoring as many as 38 goals in both the league and the tournament matches.

The stadium was literally jam packed as the match was recorded as the highest number of people turning up to witness a soccer match in Seattle. The viewers craved to catch a glimpse of their favorite soccer super stars, especially Messi along with his fellow mates, Thiery Henry and Xavi.
The only setback that Barcelona suffered was when their most trusted central defender Rafael Marquez strained his left calf muscle during a training session on Wednesday. The player is set to miss the action for 10-15 days.
