melMay 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Ultimate Fighters Challenge Undercard matches, which took place on May 29, 2010, could not boast of any star of the wrestling league. That is quite natural, considering that it was an undercard fight, that is, in most cases, only the relatively lower ranked, amateurs and therefore lesser known wrestlers take part in it. The latest UFC Undercard 114 was also no different in that respect, and most of the faces inside the wrestling ring were unknown. Among the ones who were still somewhat known were Melvin Guillard and Efrain Escudero. The other fighters who took part in the Undercard were Luiz Cane, Jesse Forbes, Dan Lauzon, Aaron Riley and Amir Sadollah.

However, after the match was over, it could be very well said that some of these fighters at least would go on to make a name for themselves in the field of wrestling. Melvin Guillard himself was one of the most noticeable fighters among the others who had participated in the UFC Undercard 114. He had been paired opposite Waylon Lowe. In the match, Melvin Guillard managed to beat Waylon Lowe in almost no time at all, taking hardly 3.20 minutes to bring the fight to an end, that too in the first round itself.

Melvin Guillard was obviously way too elated to have won the match against Waylon Lowe, who is somewhat senior to the former, both in age and experience. It was a tough fight, he admitted later on, but he also said that he was quite confident when he took to the arena. On the other hand, he admitted, he had not expected that the fight would come to a close so soon.
