McCay replaces injured Mills in New Zealand squad
March 26th, 2011 - 6:23 pm ICT by IANSColombo, March 26 (IANS) The Event Technical Committee of the Cricket World Cup Saturday approved Andy McKay as a replacement for the injured bowler Kyle Mills in the New Zealand squad for the tournament.
McKay is due to arrive here Sunday.
Mills strained his left quadricep in New Zealand’s group match against Canada, March 13. Mills is the second player to be replaced due to injury in the New Zealand squad for the event.
New Zealand defeated South Africa in the quarterfinals Friday to enter the World Cup semifinal where they will meet the winner of Saturday’s quarter-final between Sri Lanka and England.
